Well since they aren't paying him anything, he should take his show elsewhere. Matter of fact, he has access to the internet...he should develop his own
site, possibly on YouTube, and do his show his way. This....'radio station' that he's working for doesn't appreciate him....so he should go
elsewhere.

Good morning everyone, It's 65 degrees and cloudy, how I wish I could shut the A/C but it's going into the 90's later, I am so tired of this weather I could scream 
Another peaceful night..  This Benedryl is great but how long can I
keep this up? I don't want her addicted.. She's got to go to sleep without it one day.
The day went great yesterday, my husband was VERY surprised and dinner was delicious.. I made the morning  so please have some. See you

Morning Friends,
Looks like the humidity is creeping back in my area. I knew the heavenly weather couldn't hold much longer. LOL! The biggest let-down is that we have a 50% chance of rain on the 4th. Oh well....can't have everything, right? Elle, how did Ira enjoy his birthday? Was he surprised? I'm sure that he enjoyed it very much. Vern, you should really encourage your friend to take his radio show somewhere else. Honestly, that radio station isn't worthy to have his show since they don't care about him or his show. If he has a computer with a web cam and mic, he should record his shows and upload them to YouTube. He's still not making any money, but at least he will find people who will appreciate his work. Morning Perry, Greg, ETA and Lil! Not too much on tap for today. I gotta run to the bank again. Also the weekly grocery shopping. Then back home. Got some work on the computer today. Hubby said this morning that we're gonna start removing the accessories from the Hog this evening. We've got to get it cleaned up in case he decides he wants to put the bikes in the 4th show. Each year, we have a vehicle show here on the 4th. It's really nice to see all the old cars, trucks, bikes, etc. Oh they have the newer models too....but it's really a treat to see all the old models. Especially since some of these owners really keep these cars in great condition. But Hubby wants to show the bikes....he's proud of 'em. LOL! So...that means we'll be working over the next few days cleaning and detailing the bikes. We went down to the Harley dealership last night for the HOG meeting. We got to tour the new store completely. It's a HUGE store. Totally amazing compared to the old store. At least they have a much larger service area now...so there won't be a competition to get your bike in to be serviced. They even put in a customer lounge, which is nice. They're supposed to fix it up...decorate it with HOG stuff....and part of the room is to be sectioned off for the Rider's Edge class. And the owners treated us to free pizza last night. Wish I had gotten a pic of all the bikers going for that pizza. LOL!!!!!!!! That was a sight! Off to check the board......I'll try to check in later... |

I wouldn't give it to her every day. Just those days when she has troubles sleeping. That way she won't get addicted. Glad to hear that Ira enjoyed his birthday! |

Why remove the accessories? A big part of what I LIKE about Harleys is that each one becomes unique with the rider's input. A fella up the road has an old
hardtail in full western mode ... nicely tooled leather saddle, grips, sidebags with fringe and tank cover. It is just beautiful ... and all custom made.
I love that stuff. A friend of my brother-in-law is a highly skilled machinist, and he has tooled down custom footpegs, levers and mirrors from billet stock and cut and shaped and polished an amazing exhaust system. When you customize a Hog, you truly make it your own. |

Ah, Greg...
I think everyone does that. Well, most everyone will add custom pieces to their Hog to make it truly their own. I have seen a few Hogs at the meetings where the owners haven't bothered with accessories, etc. But most people do. Hubby has customized his quite nicely. He just wants to add the auxilary lights on the front (the smaller lights with the regular headlight) and a highway bar. He has the windshield, windshield bag, saddle bags, back rest, custom grips and passenger pegs. We're only removing the accessories to thoroughly clean the bike. Then the accessories go back on. When we usually wash it, we don't always remove the accessories....just clean as best as we can...and detail. But since it's going in a show, we need to get at every little nook and craney....so....well, you get the idea. LOL! I'm slowly customizing my Sporty. I'm just really, really picky about what I want on my Sporty. One particular piece that I wanted was the handle bar brace....it's got the gold eagle with the words "Live to Ride, Ride to Live". (I love that logo.) I have added custom foot pegs and grips. Looks nice....sets the bike off nicely, I think. I'm looking into a new seat....as you can imagine, Sportys are 'hard riding'...so the stock seat isn't that great. LOL! So I'm looking into a different seat. I am also looking for a nice set of hard mount saddle bags. I got a smoky windshield on it....along with the traditional fork bag. |

Good morning all, It's 68 degrees with an 88% humidity and boy can I feel it in the house.. It's heading into the 90's again later.. Busy day for me today, taking the girls to the groomer around lunch time, then going to Petsmart for some supplies, off to get Ira's pills at the pharmacy, then we are going out to lunch, my sis in law gave Ira a Pizza Hut gift certificate, so instead of going home we'll have lunch there. Then picking up the girls later on.. I made the morning so please have one before

LOL! Love the edit smiley Elle...I'll have to swipe that and put it in our smiley list. Well, it looks like we might just have that rain over the holiday weekend. Now they're forecasting a 60% chance of rain tomorrow....that could put a damper on the 4th festivities. Hubby is waiting to see how things go before making a final decision about putting the bikes in the show. One thing we don't want is to get set up and then get rained out. Elle, it sounds like you have a full day planned! Enjoy that time out. Great stress breaker to just get out of the house and enjoy some pizza. LOL! The time out will give the girls some enjoyment too. Morning Vern, Greg, ETA and Perry! Got a few things on tap for today. I gotta run back to the store today...I forgot a few things yesterday. As usual. I'm going this morning because that traffic is going to be crazy out there. They were talking on the news this morning that it's already heavy out on the roads. Hubby's boss called...he was on his way to Florida and he said that the drivers out there were running like idiots. At one point people were passing him like crazy, and he was already traveling at about 80 miles an hour. People really NEED to slow down...wow. Off to check the board....see if I can find some interesting news stories....check back later. |

The wind howled, and the streets flooded in Johnson, County,don't know about Wyandotte, but we were briefly without electricity. I hate
when that happens. I was preparing myself to go hunt for a flash light when the lights came back on. I got the flashlight any way.
Wine, I am looking into that syndication deal. I have also suggested it to my friend. I have not heard from him. I hope he takes action. Elle, have fun. |

I hope you hear back from your friend. He really shouldn't have to take that from that radio station....most especially when he's not being paid! We're expecting rain and thunderstorms to move into our area later today. Oh ...joy. |

MySpace Graphics & MySpace Layouts Morning friends, It just wouldn't be the 4th without Snoopy! LOL! I just had to find a Snoopy graphic this morning. I simply adore Snoopy. Anyway, hope that everyone has a wonderful 4th. Enjoy the time with family and friends....but most of all, remember those who had the foresight to give their most for a free country. Those on the battle field and those 'behind the scenes' working on our US Constitution. We still have many things to work on today in order to achieve what those then had in mind.....but appreciate what we have today. We've got rain storms in our area, but no rain here yet. We were gonna put the bikes in the local show today, but with the rain around, we decided to forget it. Besides I imagine that alot of the cars won't show up either. They never do when it rains. Can't say that I don't blame 'em. Just hope it rains itself out before the fireworks show tonight. How did the girls enjoy their time out yesterday, Elle? And how was lunch out with Ira? Nothing on tap for today. Just relaxing. Hubby needs some rest time. Believe it or not, we're not gonna get the hawg out at all today. LOL! Maybe this weekend....Sunday. We love Pizza Hut and with a buffet what could be better? He got to eat for free and as much as he wanted. We both didn't overeat though which I'm

It's 12:25, Central Standard Time. We are unwinding from visiting my My Brother-in Law, and his wife and son. This evening we watched
fireworks off their deck. Their home Owner's association every 4th has professional Fireworks. It's a pretty good show.

Morning Friends,
Whew, I am tired this morning. Nah, didn't do any partying yesterday....basically had a quiet day at home. But we did yard work, visited with neighbors, and finished detailing the bikes...and I'm exhausted this morning. Hubby had to go into work this morning....so perhaps I can just be lazy today. LOL! Most of the 4th festivities were rained out yesterday. We had some thunderstorms move through the area...so people scattered. However, the local fire department did manage to pull off the fireworks show last night. We got to see it from our yard this year. Off to check the board....then getting into the recliner for a few hours. LOL! |
